From the moment I took my civil service exam and physical agility test I knew IPD was the department I wanted to be a part of. Investigator Lehman, from the Personnel Department, was instrumental in guiding me through the hiring process. One scenario that stands out was the day of my board interview. He asked I arrive early, walked me through the process along with Sgt. Craft and they both helped calm my nerves so I could present the best me with confidence and poise during my interview. I can already tell the training provided to new hires is above board. Once hired, all the recruits work in different departments and are exposed to the work environment. This helps us understand the culture and expectations of law enforcement personnel at IPD. After a few days of interacting with everyone I felt like I had been there for years. The environment is a positive one and I am excited to start a rewarding career with them.
